2019 Round 3 - Steele Creek Race Results

GNCC finally headed to the dirt of North Carolina for GNCC Steele Creek. Round 1 and 2 went well for the team but with some missing riders resulting from back to back races, the team only fielded 10 riders for the weekend. Tely Energy Race Team ended up with 4 podium finishers and 8 racers in the top 5.

Steward Baylor, Jr. started the race in 6th place and finished in 4th on the day. Some bike issues and a 30 second penalty on the start had him coming from behind all day. He is sure to come back with a venegence at Camp Coker in two weeks.

Liam Draper had his best finish of the year so far in XC2 rider as he finished in 5th place on the day. The New Zealand native is improving each race and is looking forward to his first podium of the year.

Dylan Ely finished in 20th in Open A. He ran a great race against the best competition out there in A class.

In the 10am race, Brooke Cosner, our WXC rider, ran a good race but had to settle for a solid 5th place finish. She is looking toward improvements in the next couple races.

​​Bill Gold, a support member of Tely Energy Racing, had a great race in Masters A (50+) to finish with another 2nd place podium finish.

In the youth race, Tely Energy Racing swept the holeshots in XC2, 85 (12-13), 85 (7-11) and 65 (10-11).

JoJo Cunningham went 3 for 3 with his 3rd first place finish and 3rd overall finish in a row. came out for the 2019 on a mission. He dominated the entire race from start to finish and won by 2 minutes. He is definitely the one to beat this year and is looking to dominate each race.

Ty Ely had his best race of the GNCC year and finished with 5th place out of 29 races in 85 (12-13). He is looking to build on that finish in the upcoming races.

Andrew Segars had another great day by winning his second in a row and finished 19th overall. He is definitely the one to beat this year for the class championship in 85 (7-11).

Keifer Galiano finished with another podium finish in the 65 (10-11) class. He finished his day in 3rd place on the podium and had a great rider. He will battle for the top spot on the year.

Ronnie Rusch finished in XC2 with an 11th place finish. He is continuing to adjust to the pro class and will continue to improve in the coming races.
