Round 4 - Steele Creek, NC Results


It was another successful weekend for Tely Energy Racing at Steele Creek, North Carolina.

Starting off the morning in the youth bike classes with his first win of the year in 65 (10-11) was Ty Ely! He battled the entire last half of the race with teammate Gavin Garlits to get his first victory of the season. Gavin had a great race leading at certain points of the race as well but Ty held him off at the end, giving Gavin another podium finish with his second place. In the same class, Tucker Whipkey finished 11th and Connor Stover placed 19th. In 85 (12-13) class, Canon Kuneff continued to impress with a second place finish and another podium finish. While Chase Inmon finished 12th in the same class. In Super Mini (14-15), Peyton Whipkey lead for the entire race however in the end had to settle for second place.

In 10AM action, Cody Morehead continued to dominate his class with another victory on the year. Dylan Ely kept his consistent podium appearance with a 3rd place finish in his class. Olivia Judy lead her class until some bike issues dropped her back to 6th where she finished the race.

In 1pm Adult Bike action, Andrew Boggs ended up in 4th while teammate Joe McCarty finished 5th in the Junior A/B (25+) class. James Harshberger continues to climb up the rankings with an impressive 4th place finish in Open B. Ryan Inmon finished 12th in Vet A (30+). Zach Nolan continues to improve each race and finished XC2 in 13th place. Eric Ross made his GNCC debut for the year and ended his day in 14th place in 4 stroke b lites. Scott Dowlin and Justin Murphy had some mechanical issues and ended their days in 18th place in their classes.

In UTV action, Jim Goughenhour finished with an impressive 6th place in XC2 Pro Sport.
